DALLAS, Texas (Feb. 17, 2022) — Multifamily development, construction and investment firm OHT Partners LLC has broken ground on the 270-unit Lenox Cooper community in central Arlington near the University of Texas at Arlington campus.
Located at 2805 S. Cooper St., the 7-acre community will serve as a catalyst for the community-supported revitalization of the five-mile South Cooper Street Corridor and add much needed new housing in an area where few new apartments other than student housing have been built in 30 years.
“The Lenox Cooper community will provide high-quality housing attainable to young professionals in the heart of Arlington,” said OHT Partners Managing Director Howell Beaver. “The South Cooper Street Corridor offers a great location near major employers, retail and some of the most popular entertainment destinations in Dallas-Fort Worth.”
Just two miles from the UT Arlington campus, Lenox Cooper will provide convenient access to AT&T Stadium — home of the Dallas Cowboys — and Globe Life Field, where the Texas Rangers play. The Parks Mall at Arlington and Six Flags Over Texas also are nearby along with major employers General Motors and Texas Health Resources.
Scheduled to open in the spring of 2023, Lenox Cooper will offer studios as well as one-and-two-bedroom units. Community amenities will include a shared work studio, a resort-style pool, a rooftop entertainment deck, firepits and BBQ grills, a 24-hour fitness center and a dog run and wash station.
