AUSTIN, TEXAS (May 30, 2017) — Oden Hughes, LLC and development partner Desarrollos Delta of Monterrey, Mexico have broken ground on the 308-unit Amara Apartments in Far Northwest San Antonio.
Scheduled to open in mid-2018, the 23-acre project is adjacent to the NuStar corporate campus and within a short driving distance of several more of San Antonio’s largest employers including USAA, Valero, Security Service Federal Credit Union and the University of Texas at San Antonio.
“Northwest San Antonio is one of the fastest growing areas in one of the fastest growing cities in the nation, and that growth is not expected to slow soon,” said Oden Hughes principal Steve Oden. “Job growth remains strong, and people continue to flock to this area to be closer to work and the premiere retail amenities located nearby.”
Located 19327 Talavera Ridge, Amara Apartments will be the latest addition to The Rim, a 700-acre mixed-use development that includes office, residential and approximately 1.5 million square feet of retail development.

The community will offer one, two and three-bedroom apartments ranging from nearly 600 to 1,365 square feet.
Oden Hughes Construction will serve as general contractor on the project that was designed by Kelly Grossman Architects. Oden Hughes Management will lease and manage the project.
