AUSTIN, TEXAS (June 17, 2014)—Austin-based Oden Hughes LLC has broken ground on a 342 unit Class A community near the intersection of Grand Parkway and the Westpark Tollway just south of Katy.
The Parkside Bella Terra apartments will be part of the high-end Lakes of Bella Terra master planned community and within the boundaries of the highly regarded Lamar Consolidated School District.
“This fast-growing area offers easy access to several major employment centers and excellent schools,” said Oden Hughes co-founder Craig Hughes. “The Lakes of Bella Terra is a first-class community and a good fit for us.”
The one-to-three bedroom units will range from 565 to 1,700 square feet and rent for between $800 and $2,200 a month. The project is scheduled to open in the spring of 2015.
Parkside Bella Terra’s amenities include a resort-style pool and sundeck, outdoor fireplace, dog washing station and 24-hour fitness center. Developed by Ryko Development, the Lakes of Bella Terra offers many community amenities including hike and bike trails, fishing, tennis courts, playgrounds and soccer fields.
Parkside Bella Terra will be the eleventh project in Texas and the third in Houston for Oden Hughes, which Hughes and Steve Oden founded in 2010.
The 354-unit Parkside Grand Parkway in Katy, the developer’s first in the Houston area, opened in February. In April, Oden Hughes began construction on the 384-unit Parkside Place at the northwest corner of FM 2920 and Kuykendahl Road. That project is scheduled to open early next year.
