HOUSTON, Texas (Sept. 22, 2021) — Multifamily development, construction and investment firm OHT Partners LLC has broken ground on the 315-unit Lenox Bayside multifamily luxury community in the Clear Lake area of southeast Houston.
Located at the southwest corner of Gatebrook Drive and Retail Road, the community will be adjacent to Baybrook East, a H-E-B-anchored retail center that Regency Centers Corp. and an entity managed by CDC Houston, Inc. are developing immediately north of the 9-acre Lenox Bayside property.
Home to a diversified group of marquee employers including the NASA Johnson Space Center, Boeing Space Exploration Headquarters, HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake and the Port of Houston Bayport Terminal — the Clear Lake area has few new multifamily communities on the ground or in the pipeline.
“Lenox Bayside will offer luxury multifamily living within walking distance of retail in one of the few areas of Houston where it’s difficult to build apartments,” said OHT Vice President of Development Jackson Simons. “With a top-performing school district and an abundance of aerospace, engineering and healthcare jobs nearby, we expect there to be tremendous demand at this community.”
Lenox Bayside is scheduled to open in early 2023.
H-E-B plans to open its 106,000-square-foot grocery store now under construction in Baybrook East at the end of 2021. Another 62,500 square feet of retail is planned at the retail center with additional phases proposed.
Zoned to Clear Creek ISD, the four-story community will offer one-two-and-three-bedroom units. Community amenities will include a 24-hour collaborative work studio; a resort-style pool; a dog park and dog washing station; and an outdoor pavilion with BBQ grills and a fireplace.
Previously known as Oden Hughes, the Austin-based company rebranded as OHT Partners in June to incorporate the names of all three long-time company principals Steve Oden, Craig Hughes and Eric Taylor, the latter of whom has headed the company’s in-house and third-party construction operations for the last decade.
OHT will build and develop Lenox Bayside. Other project team members include:
