AUSTIN, TEXAS (July 22, 2021) — Multifamily development, construction and investment firm OHT Partners LLC has broken ground on the 403-unit Lenox Lake Highlands multifamily community at the northeast corner of Walnut Hill Lane and Skillman Street in Dallas.
Part of the mixed-use Lake Highlands Town Center, the community will open in mid-2022.
Lenox Lake Highlands will provide convenient access to the adjacent Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) Lake Highlands station as well as the Lake Highlands Trail, which will be extended to connect to the property and the White Rock Creek Trail by 2023.
“Located in one of the most desirable neighborhoods and school districts in Dallas, Lenox Lake Highlands will offer luxury apartments with high-end amenities within walking distance of neighborhood shops, restaurants, parks and trails,” said OHT Partners Managing Director Howell Beaver. “Residents can enjoy the best of Lake Highlands or easily hop on a train and travel downtown in 30 minutes from the transit station next door.”
OHT purchased the 16.7-acre property late last year. The site includes five acres zoned for residential and commercial uses that the firm plans to develop in a second phase in addition to Lenox Lake Highlands.
Previously known as Oden Hughes, the Austin-based company rebranded as OHT Partners in June to incorporate the names of all three long-time company principals Steve Oden, Craig Hughes and Eric Taylor, the latter of whom has headed the company’s in-house and third-party construction operations for the last decade.
Lenox Lake Highlands will offer short commutes to several major employment centers including the Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas just 1.5 miles west and Medical City Dallas less than four miles northwest of the property. Texas Instruments’ corporate headquarters and other major employers along the Telecom Corridor are also nearby.
One-two-and-three-bedroom units at Lenox Lake Highlands will range in size in from 600 to 1,640 square feet with carports and private yards available. Community amenities will include a 1,300-square-foot collaborative work studio; three pools; a dog run and dog washing station; and a 24-hour fitness center with a fitness on demand room.
OHT will build and develop Lenox Lake Highlands. Other project team members include:
- Architect – GFF
- Civil Engineer – Pacheco Koch
- Interior Design – Ink and Oro
- Landscape Architect – Bud Creative
Founded in 2010, OHT opened a Dallas office in 2017. Earlier this year the company completed the 287-unit Lenox Maplewood community in the Dallas Medical District, which it continues to own, and sold its newly built 430-unit Lenox Castle Hills in Carrollton.
OHT will soon finish work on its 435-unit Lenox Crown community in Garland and plans to open the 293-unit Lenox Oak Lawn community adjacent to the historic Warwick Melrose hotel early next year.
